Talks and Lectures

I give talks and lectures about photojournalism, documentary storytelling and my experiences working in war and conflict zones around the world.

My work has taken me to some of the world’s most challenging environments, from the war in Iraq and the civil war in Yemen to the war in Ukraine and the Israel–Iran conflict. In my talks, I share experiences from the field and discuss what it means to work as a photojournalist in situations where access, safety and ethical considerations can all be challenging.

I also speak about photography and visual storytelling more broadly, including the methods and decisions behind documentary photography, working with people in difficult circumstances, and how photographs can communicate stories that go beyond a single image.

Over the years, my photography has received recognition in Danish and international competitions, and my work has been exhibited in cities including New York, Paris, London, Moscow, St Petersburg, Istanbul, Siena, Perpignan and Copenhagen.
