Phillip Mbuji Johansen was tortured to death in a bonfire hut on the Danish island of Bornholm by two brothers who had referred to the young Danish-Tanzanian as their “friend”. In the video, journalist Torsten Ruus and I meet Phillip’s mother, Mwajuma Johansen, who speaks about her thoughts and feelings following the loss of her son.

Four months on, the clean-up operation following the dramatic fire at Børsen, Copenhagen’s historic stock exchange building, has been completed. What remains is a fire-damaged site, and the extremely costly reconstruction is now set to begin.

Exhuming the Dead (External link)
In Bucha, some of the mass graves are being reopened in order to identify the deceased and establish the cause of death. Journalist Peter Keldorff and I were present as 20 bodies were exhumed from a mass grave.
